Marie CurieMarie Curie deserves a monument in Washington D.C. Marie Curie has many things to be acknowledge about she was a woman of first. Meaning in her case she was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, first woman to be a professor, and first one out of two to win two Nobel Prizes (physics and chemistry). In the article "Marie Curie: How She Changed the World" they say, "Marie Curie was a woman of firsts. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first person to win two of them, and the first of only two people to win a Nobel prize in two different fields (chemistry and physics, in her case). She coined the term "radioactivity," discovered two elements, and became the first female professor." During World War I she helped better the community. She was someone who helped the world and she was a first of many thing.
