Money can't make you happy, true happiness comes from being with friends and family. During winter break I got sick and couldn’t go to weight lifting that week or any other practices that week. It didn’t snow, so I didn’t really get to go sledding. I liked what I got for Christmas from everyone. Even though my break only lasted about two weeks, I got to do different things and I had a lot of fun.
Over break I went to my grandparents’ house and got to see my cousins from Illios. We got to open up presents from each other. Since it wasn’t absolutely freezing outside my older and two younger cousins and I went outside and ran around, playing hide and seek. My cousin and I helped our grandma cook food for Christmas and get things organized. The week of Christmas my family and I did a lot of things. On Christmas morning we opened up our presents, a good percent of what I got was pajamas and clothing, I also got a new pair of shoes, and a record player. Than we made Christmas cookies and brownies with my cousins. The day after Christmas my parents took my cousins and I to go ice skating, I thought it was pretty fun. About three days before Christmas day Autumn came over to my house. We exchanged gifts, Autumn got me perfume, chocolate, and earring. Carney couldn’t make it because she was sick, but finally she was able to come over.We exchanged gifts and hung out for a while, she got me two pairs of fuzzy socks and some perfume too. I got Autumn a shirt and a necklace that says friend on it, then I got Carney a pair of socks and a necklace that says forever. Winter break was full of excitement and joy, but also some sick. I just don't understand why that feeling that you get during Christmas time can't last a little bit longer. I loved seeing my cousins, spending time with my family, and spending time with my two best friends. Over break I did a lot and had a lot of fun doing it. |
